Proceeds from the following Valpo Parks Foundation events support the Foundation and ultimately benefit the Valpo Parks system

Friends & Legends Reception

Please join the Valpo Parks Foundation at the casual "Celebrating Friends & Legends" reception as it honors those who lend support and volunteer to aid in the mission of the Foundation. This year's event is Thursday, May 9, 2013 from 4:30 to 6:30 PM at the Butterfield Family Pavilion.

The "Art & Irene Malasto Legends Award" will be presented to give recognition and appreciation to a person or business that has supported the Valpo Parks in a significant way through volunteer service, leadership, and/or gifts of financial support. Their commitments to the Parks mission of positively impacting the Quality of Life in our community have inspired others to follow in their example.

The 2013 Legends award recipients are Bob & Nancy Urschel.

Legendary Friend Bill Alexa will be honored, as well.

The watercolor of the "Art & Irene" statue, which stands at ValPlayso, was painted and given to the Foundation by Valpo resident Ed Spelde, becoming the symbol of "Celebrating Friends & Legends." The annual award is named after the Malastos who were the first recipients of the honor in 2009.

Creekside Classic

Creekside Classic logo_edited.jpgThis truly unique format, offering a skills competition and a golf outing, presents TWO great golfing opportunities in one day.  Youth ages 12 and under have fun swinging away in the morning golf skills competition.  In the afternoon outing each foursome in the outing teams up 2 juniors and 2 adult players, a great activity for neighbors, families, businesses and friends.

This year we have more entertaining fun and laughs planned at a resort-casual summer evening soiree! "Party in the Park" will be hosted at ValPlayso this year!  Mark your calendars for Saturday, August 17, 2013!
