Pavilion Features
The enclosed, 5,000-square-foot Butterfield Family Pavilion at Old Fairgrounds Park offers plenty of space for wedding receptions, graduation parties, group meetings, and entertainment needs. Features include handicap-accessible restrooms, a kitchen equipped with sink, refrigerator, and stove, and a seating capacity of 250. 

The pavilion is a seasonal building that is open from April 15 to October 15 (approximately). Please note, the pavilion is not heated or air-conditioned.
Guests are advised to dress appropriately for the weather. 

Reservation Information
The pavilion may be reserved up to two years in advance. Prices include table and chair set-up for up to 250 and includes use of the kitchen. A non-refundable full payment for pavilion reservations is due when making the reservation.  Reservations are one day beginning at 9:00 am and ending at 12 midnight.  Fees are $325 for residents and $350 plus tax for non-residents.  Appointments to view the pavilion must be made in advance by calling 219-462-5144.  Appointments may be available Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. only.

Want to set up the day before your reservation? We now offer a discounted early set-up fee on Monday through Friday only. You may have access to the pavilion at 4:00 pm CT the day before your reservation for only $125 plus tax. This fee only applies with a fully paid primary reservation.

All rental fees are subject to Indiana sales tax. For reservation information, call the parks office at 219.462.5144, or register online.

Grand Opening LifeTrails(R)
Join in the official grand opening of the outdoor exercise stations located at Fairgrounds Park! The LifeTrails(R) Advanced Wellness System is available to anyone and is conveniently located on the south end of the walking track at Evans and Calumet. The ElderStyle Consortium is proud to officially unveil and demonstrate this great feature for Valpo residents! The event includes refreshments, a health fair, and information on using the equipment for 150 different exercises.
4:30 PM cocktail hour and music; 5:15 PM presentation; 5:45 to 6:30 PM music and mingling
Friends & Legends Reception
The Valpo Parks Foundation's recognition of service award is being celebrated on Thursday, May 8th. Come join the community in recognizing Bruce Berner, the Malasto Legends Award recipient, and Mary Kramer Leonard, the Legendary Friend award recipient. This casual event features hors d' oeuvres, a cash bar, a jazz quartet and time spent with friends and colleagues. Everyone is welcome. Please RSVP below.
