Welcome to the home page of the Office of Code Enforcement Division of the City of Valparaiso.

The mission of the Code Enforcement Department is to promote and maintain a safe and desirable living and working environment. We help maintain and improve the quality of our community by administering a fair and unbiased enforcement program to correct violations of municipal codes. We also work with residents, neighborhood associations, and other City departments to:

2. We will work with city residents, neighborhood associations, and all city departments to effectively enforce the rules as stated in the city ordinance.

Some of our future goals are:

1. To facilitate voluntary compliance with City codes;
2. To establish community priorities for enforcement programs; and
3. To develop public outreach programs.
