CITY ADMINISTRATOR

Bill Oeding has worked with the City of Valparaiso for several years with as the Public Works Director. The City Administrator reports directly to the Mayor and is responsible for implementing the policy directives of the Mayor and the City Council.

Mayor Costas' reorganization plan, approved by the City Council, calls for increased efficiencies and better coordination of city services. The City Administrator is responsible for the coordination of daily operations in Planning, Engineering, Public Works, Parks and Recreation, Utilities, Project Management, Human Resources, and Information Technology. Additionally, the City Administrator is responsible for the areas of strategic planning and financial management as well as citywide communication.
