| City Departments: |
The Department of Building is responsible for the following:

Maintenance of records pertaining to construction activity which is on file for public or private scrutiny. These records date back seven (7) years from the current year only. |

• |
Maintenance of the complete set of current building and construction codes. |
|
• |
Reviewing and answering citizen concerns and complaints for land use questions, for neighborhood maintenance, unauthorized outside storage, and general nuisance concerns. |
|
• |
Enforcement of the rules governing the maintenance of lot and parcel areas within the City and the maintenance to minimum standards for protection of health and safety for all structures. |
|
• |
Addressing the provisions of the City Municipal Code not specifically handled by the other City Departments in terms of investigation and enforcement. |
