Welcome to the Department of Engineering for the City of Valparaiso, Indiana.

This department consists of a full-time City Engineer, Engineering Administrator, Field Inspector, and two (2) Deputy Engineers.

The City Engineer's Office has many vital functions in the pulse of the city of Valparaiso's administration. Some of the many functions are addressing, sewer permits, Right-of-Way Permits, Erosion Control, Site Review, and more.

Many of the activities of the Engineering Department directly affect the lives of Valparaiso citizens, today, and in the future. Whether it is land use, infrastructure improvements, or storm drainage, our office is always striving to improve the quality of life for all residents throughout our community.
