Rod Gayda and Jeff Lamb have been named to the Valparaiso Utilities Board, announced Valparaiso Mayor Matt Murphy. “We’re so pleased to have Rod Gayda and Jeff Lamb join this important board for the City. Their leadership and business experience as well as long-term commitment to the community make them both excellent additions to the city’s leadership team,” said Mayor Murphy.

Rod Gayda is the owner of Gayda & Associates, an insurance agency and tax preparation firm serving Northwest Indiana. He is a graduate of Calumet College of St. Joseph with a degree in accounting. He has also served on the board of directors for Family House in Valparaiso and is in his eighth year with the board for Opportunity Enterprises. He will serve as secretary for the Valparaiso Utilities Board.

Jeff Lamb is a financial advisor with Ameriprise Financial Services, LLC. He is a graduate of the Purdue University Krannert School of Management with a degree in international business and economics. Lamb will serve as assistant secretary for the Valparaiso Utilities Board.

The Valparaiso City Utilities Board is responsible for overseeing operations, policy and finances for the City’s Water, Wastewater, and Stormwater Divisions.  Appointed by the mayor, the Board is comprised of five Valparaiso residents with backgrounds in law, business, banking and leadership.
