The Clerk-Treasurer is an election position, serves a four-year term of office, and serves as the fiscal officer for the City.
The Clerk-Treasurer’s office is the financial and recordkeeping hub of the City. Our office oversees keeping track of all Ordinances, Resolutions, and meeting minutes for both the City Council and Board of Public Works & Safety. Our office also processes all payments for parking permits, bus passes, building permits, site permits, contractor registrations, and more. Payments for these items can be made via cash or check, with checks being made payable to the City of Valparaiso.
