The City of Valparaiso owns and maintains four cemeteries:

Cemetery Regulations & Guidelines:

To Purchase a Burial Plot

There are currently plots available in Memorial Park Cemetery. To purchase a burial plot, please do the following:

1. Contact our office at (219)462-1161 to choose a plot.
2. Upon your selection, you will receive a description of the plot, which you may take to the funeral home of your choice.
3. If you are not using a funeral home, you may pay for the plat directly at:

      City Hall
      166 W. Lincolnway
      Valparaiso, IN 46383

  4. Once you pay for a plot, you will receive a deed for the plot which will be mailed to you.

General Rules & Regulations

• Foundations are required for all headstones
• No decorating of trees or bushes
• Decorations are to be placed on the foundation, not in the grass
• No in-ground planting of trees, shrubs, bushes, plants, or flowers
• The City of Valparaiso is not responsible for theft or vandalism
• Water is not available on site
