America's Best Communities Grant 2016

Valparaiso is in the quarter-finalist round of the America's Best Communities grant, which is funded by Frontier Communications, CoBank, The Weather Channel, and DISH. This grant aims to financially encourage the revitalization of small cities and towns throughout the United States. The winner of the ABC grant will be awarded $3 million to put towards a community project.

Valparaiso's Community Project

Our ABC team believes that an "Arts Corridor" is the community project Valparaiso needs for social and economic growth. In this stage of the ABC competition, our team is planning what our Arts Corridor would include with a focus on offering community classes, bringing university students downtown, and implementing new technology.
